BTB of issues with the trail system including trash pick-up, refilling dog waste stations with bags or other observed needs. Ms. Bankston then explained a few changes to the table of contents of the Trails Master Plan that make it easier to read. Chairman Mentock asked if the map approval process that the BTB went through should be added to the Master Plan and we all agreed that it should. The BTB then went through the rest of the Master Plan making minor changes.

During this discussion, Mr. Betzler expressed his desire to talk with Mayor Johnson about having a member of the County Planning Dept. be a Buffalo Trails Board Member. Mr. Betzler explained he thought it would be beneficial for the BTB to have Johnson County’s opinion as the CCTS grows.
The next item was to discuss the Governors Proclamation. Ms. Bankston mentioned as she did at the last meeting, that the Governor could be encouraged to come for the historic bridge placement. Ms. Bankston also mentioned that the planning dept. will be applying for a TEAL grant for a sidewalk project on Brock St. and a pathway project on Cemetery Rd, which will be a 8’ pathway from HWY 87 to Burritt St.
The next item was to discuss the upcoming workday. Chairman Mentock mentioned a couple of areas that need to be line-trimmed.

Mr. Betzler then mentioned that he had just received the Buffalo Downtown Plan and realized that the company that was working on that plan could also develop a logo. The board left it up to the city planning dept. to choose a company to develop the logo.
