Meeting called to order 4:47 pm with the following members in attendance: Bill Cooley, Jack Tartar, Lois Petersen, and Courtney Frost. Also in attendance were: Asst. City Planner, Alicia Bankston, former BTB Chair Bill Mentock, and Allison Ginn representing BLM.
1. Approved the minutes of the Feb. 25 meeting and agenda for the Mar. 25 meeting.
2. Mary Fowlkes was introduced as the new County Representative on our board. She will check into how to share feedback with the County Commissioners.
3. Kelly Hornby also submitted a letter of interest in being appointed to a position on the BTB.
4. Reviewed draft of CIPs and discussed ways to prioritize the projects. We will look at these again between now and the next meeting and adopt them then.
5. March 26 Budget meeting update – asking 1000 for BTB.
6. Rec Board Application for centrally located BTB toolshed and tools. Bill and Courtney will work on the application.
7. Grouse Mt –Tie Hack connection – Bill C. will be meeting with Craig Cope and other stakeholders in relation to this project.
8. Sign update – discussed the kiosk signs and draft language for some of these. Lois will send the draft language to Jack and Courtney via email for consideration prior to adoption possibly at the next meeting. Signs are now at Dave Osmundson’s to look at.
9. Brochure has been approved and is now being printed.
10. 1880 bridge update – Three Way is waiting until weather clears to complete the construction of the elevated walkway and parking lot improvements. Three Way’s donation of labor has been essential to this project. June 6th is Wyoming Trails Day by governor’s proclamation and will the day we dedicate the bridge if at all possible.
11. Three trail maintenance requests for areas on the Greenbelt Trail, were brought to BTB attention by Bill Mentock, and submitted to Les Hook by Bill Cooley.
12. National Trails Day Committee – Lois, Courtney, Mary, and guest Allison Ginn will meet immediately following this meeting to outline some plans for celebrating NTD in Buffalo.
Next BTB meeting will be April 22, 4:30p at the City Hall.
Other business:
Discussed possible need for more print copies of Master Trails Plan for BTB members.
