1. Approved the agenda for today’s meeting.
2. Approved the minutes for Oct and Nov.
3. Theo Hirschfeld presented the final draft of the plaque he would like to mount on Pelloux Bridge. A motion was made to recommend to the City Council to allow placement of the Pelloux Bridge sign. Motion was approved. Mr. Hirschfeld was thanked for his work on and contribution to this signage project.
4. Discussed the need to check the appointed terms of all BTB members. None of the current members are planning to resign. Clint Culiton was appointed to the Buffalo Trails Board at last night’s City Council meeting. Someone representing Buffalo School may also be interested in joining the BTB and Bill Cooley will check with the high school principal.
5. A meeting will take place on Dec. 18 with Bill Adams (Cemetery Board), Loren or Jack Morey (JLM), Brian Grubb (City Planner) and Lois Petersen to discuss how to go about setting up a perpetual trail easement on the north segment of the trail in Eva Knepper Park.
6. Tie Hack sub-committee will meet on Jan 6 to make a detailed schedule of what needs to happen to complete this project.
7. Discussed the TEAL Grant that has to do with the pathway down Cemetery Road. It was determined that it is part of the safe routes to school grant that was probably written by Alicia Bankston. The completed pathway will probably be maintained by volunteers.
8. At present we are not governed by our own set of by-laws but come under the city’s rules of governance. Therefore, all decisions made by the Buffalo Trails Board will be made at public meetings.
9. Courtney may be interested in switching the dog waste station she is in charge of with Dave Palmerlee’s station due to the amount of time she spends on that trail.
10. Patti suggested asking members of the Buffalo Development Association to come to one of our meetings to go over downtown development plans that might impact trails. She will invite members to attend our meeting on Jan. 27 and they will be on our January agenda.
11. Next meeting will be Jan. 27.
